We are officially a registered 501(c)3 charity. On March 2, 2023, the IRS approved Mountain Heritage Trails’ application, to be effective February 16, 2023.
Now, your financial and in-kind contributions are eligible for tax deductions. It also means we will begin to apply for foundation, government, and corporate grants in order to further fulfill our mission and vision of celebrating the storied Appalachian mountains and inspiring respect, appreciation, and curiosity for its abundant assets and amplify the diverse individual voices and cultures within this community of shared identity.
