At our folk school, we are dedicated to documenting and sharing the rich tapestry of Appalachian folklore, folkways, and mountain heritage. Through meaningful dialogue with our local community, we celebrate both our shared roots and diverse voices by way of storytelling, shared skills, community asset mapping, and special events that honor the spirit and resilience of the region.

We seek to amplify the diverse voices and cultures that shape Appalachia, honoring both ancestral wisdom and contemporary experience.
Through skill-sharing, storytelling, and dialogue, we create space for conversations that challenge old constructs, shift perspectives, and nurture meaningful connection within a community bound by shared identity and place.
